This page explains what personal information PilotVia collects, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it. PilotVia is a business development practice based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. If you have questions, email hello@pilotvia.com.

What we collect

When you fill in our form or book a call, we collect your name, email address and company, and anything else you choose to tell us.
When you visit our website, our website provider, Squarespace, uses cookies to collect basic information, such as the pages you view, the type of device you use and the general area you’re visiting from.
When we contact you on behalf of a client, we use business contact details such as your name, job title, company, work email, work phone number and LinkedIn profile.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, arrange calls, provide our services and understand how our website is used so we can improve it. We don’t sell personal information.

When we contact you for a client

If we’ve reached out to you about a client’s product or service, we found your business details in public sources or through business data providers. We use software, including AI tools, to research and organize this information, and our team reviews it. We only contact you about things relevant to your work. If you’d rather not hear from us, reply to any message or email hello@pilotvia.com and we’ll stop. We keep a note of your request so you aren’t contacted again.

Who else sees it

Only the services we use to run our website, email, bookings and research, such as Squarespace and Microsoft, and the client you’re meeting, if you agree to a meeting. Some of these services store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where local laws apply to it.

How long we keep it

Only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. Then we delete it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards and limit access to the people who need it for their work.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@pilotvia.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
